GREENVILLE HAMBURG

New construction of multi-family houses and townhouses in timber construction

In Hamburg’s Wilhelmsburg district, new neighbourhoods with up to 10,000 flats, workplaces, educational facilities, sports and leisure facilities as well as parks and squares will be built in the next few years. Up to 20 % of the flats are designated for building communities. These sites will be allocated by IBA Hamburg within the framework of concept procedures.
Our concept for the “Greenville” building community was awarded Building Plot 07 in Wilhelmsburg’s Rathausviertel.
The project provides for approx. 6,000 sqm of living space in timber construction. Two apartment buildings and ten townhouses are planned with flats ranging in size from 50 to 130 sqm. On the ground floor there will be communal areas, a workshop and a guest flat. In addition to communal roof terraces, a garden courtyard of over 1,000 sqm is planned in the inner area of the development site. The supporting structure of the upper floors will be built in timber or timber-hybrid construction. Only the basement and the staircases are planned in reinforced concrete.
The aim is to achieve the KfW 40 energy standard.

Additional members are currently being sought for “Greenville”.
